To quote: A few weeks ago, several steps were revealed in the process of unlocking a special Quality Assurance (QA) mode on your PS3 console. The mode unlocks a special mode, which is typically only meant for official Sony testers.

Unfortunately, the steps revealed were only part of the process. Developers were scrambling to figure out the button combo that unlocked the special QA mode. 1) Explorer Shell Extension run LordSELF -> Options "Register Shell Extension" so you can directly load via right click in Windows Explorer (requires admin rights once to set registry entries)

2) drag & drop self/sprx into exe

3) commandline "LordSELF file.self"

Today a PlayStation 3 hacker known as [b]DarkHacker[/b] has released a PS3 CPU Exploit which he states will lead developers closer to METLDR exploitation.

PS3 SDK 3.41 Differences Comparison to PS3 SDK 1.92 Leak

I wanted to give myself a summary of what’s new in [url=http://www.ps3news.com/PS3-Hacks/ps3-sdk-3-41-toolchain-raf-compiler-leaked-via-demonhades/]PS3 SDK 3.41[/url] compared to [url=http://www.ps3news.com/PS3-Dev/ps3-sdk-1-92-leaked-guides-now-available-on-how-to-set-it-up/]PS3 SDK 1.92[/url]. [I]diff[/I] proved to be less than helpful here, because of all the copyright and SDK version headers that changed.

So I put together a simple program to filter the diff results. It stripped almost 150K from the diff of the SPU headers, and nearly 300K from the diff of the PPU headers (approximately 25%). It should also be possible to use this exact same program to filter comparisons on any future incomplete SDK leaks.
