Video: MAG PS3 CES 2010 Event and New Tournament Details

Sony Social Media Manager [b]Jeff Rubenstein[/b] has shared a CES 2010 event video today on the PlayStation Blog and also revealed some new MAG PS3 tournament details, as follows:

Not all the talk at this year’s [url=http://www.cesweb.org/]Consumer Electronics Show[/url] was about 3D. Last Thursday, [url=http://www.zipperint.com/]Zipper Interactive[/url] and SCEA hosted a CES MAG event at the Aria Las Vegas.

One hundred community members (some from as far away as New York!) and a host of gaming and consumer electronics media joined us to celebrate MAG going gold, but the hospitality didn’t end at the hors d’oeuvres line; the first attendees through the door will receive a free retail copy of MAG later this month.

Video: Sony’s PS3 Movie Service Qriocity Coming February 2010

Just under a month ago we [url=http://www.ps3news.com/PS3-Online/qriocity-trademark-filed-by-sony-handheld-or-online-service/]reported[/url] on a ‘Qriocity’ trademark filed by Sony, and [b]sonyinsider[/b] has now made available a video of the on-demand movie service that is coming to PS3 in February, 2010.

To quote from the video’s caption: "We shot exclusive video footage during CES 2010 of a new Sony service called Qriocity, starting in February, and it is the basically the beginning of the Sony Online Service.

Sony is going to bring streaming SD and HD to the consumer, but we’re not sure on pricing and I’m starting to believe there might be a subscription model. It’s significance is so strong that it will be added as a main icon on the XMB and as a button on many 2010 Sony remote controls that belong to networked TV’s and Blu-ray players.

For those who didn’t make it to this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Sony’s Social Media Manager [b]Jeff Rubenstein[/b] has shared a PlayStation 3 video today which includes a 3D Q&A session.

To quote: 3D is undoubtedly the biggest buzzword at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. We know it’s coming to the PS3, but how exactly is that going to work for current PS3 owners?

I asked that question of SCEA Director of Hardware Marketing [b]John Koller[/b], and the answers are in the video below.
