Sony Confirms PS3 Firmware 3.40 Arrives June 22 and More!

Today a sleuth from TheGamerAccess.com (linked above) has spotted as part of an E3 2010 press release confirmation by Sony that the [url=http://www.ps3news.com/PlayStation-3/rumor-ps3-3d-firmware-update-to-arrive-on-june-10-2010/]rumored[/url] PS3 Firmware 3.40 update will arrive on June 22, 2010 and likely will include the long-awaited [url=http://www.ps3news.com/PlayStation-3/sony-cross-game-voice-chat-is-coming-but-no-date-is-set-yet/]PS3 cross-game voice chat[/url]!

To quote from the Press Release: "PlayStation users can purchase [url=http://www.ps3news.com/PS3-Online/video-sony-details-playstation-plus-normal-psn-to-remain-free/]PlayStation Plus[/url] membership through PlayStation Store on PS3 only.

Users need to install PS3 system software version 3.40, which will be released on June 22nd, to enjoy PlayStation Plus."
